Eight and half days of passage in photos - Fiji to New Zealand

Liz has covered our passage from Nadi to New Zealand in detail in her daily updates.  Here are some photos from passage now that we have internet again:

Less fish on this passage but this tuna provided a few meals ...

Lots of time on passage for bike riding - if perhaps a bit short on space.

Not more tuna ...

And of course a few sunsets.

Making good progress over 7 kts close reaching.

A family of book worms.  Benjamin catching up on his reading.

A small trough that did not provide much drama
More adventures in extreme nursing.

Pumpkin Pie

Johnathan making cookies on passage.
Autopilot failure - time to hand steer.

Autopilot failure - time to hand steer.  Johnathan concentrates on his compass course

Autopilot failure - time to hand steer.  Victoria's turn.

Autopilot failure - time to hand steer.  Benajmin's watch

Johnathan scoping out the approach to NZ.

Not the nicest weather to welcome us to NZ.

Arrived and cleared customs.

We arrived just in time to catch the tail end of the Island Cruising Association parties and seminars.  We finally got to meet Bob McDavitt, our weather guru, in person and talk weather.
