International Buyer's Broker

Some locations where we have helped people buy boats ... sail and power ...

Perhaps the most rewarding part of the job is helping people buy "that boat" that allows them to enjoy their cruising dreams.  We are always happy to work with clients to help them through the process as their "buyer's broker"

As former cruisers, Elizabeth and I can work with our clients to refine their search and then help through the buying process.  For us, an important step is refining the requirements and then mitigating risk at each step to increase the chance of getting the right boat, at the right price, in the right condition.

We understand the stress of spending what can be life savings for that life long, once in a life time, dream.

There is generally no charge for this service as our remuneration comes from the seller's commission.

We talk a bit about the process in this fun podcast:  https://shows.acast.com/liveaboard-sailing-podcast/episodes/the-pacific-off-the-beaten-path-essential-broker-questions

 Some testimonials:

"Just bought our first boat and Max Shaw was our agent.  Max was professional, knowledgeable, super responsive, and incredibly supportive. Even though we are based in Asia, Max was in Canada, and our boat was in New Zealand, it seemed like Max was always working in any timezone, answering our questions and messages, making time for video calls.  When we found the boat we wanted to pursue, Max was quick to contact the broker and set everything up.  He is well organized and also seems connected all over the globe.  Would highly recommend Max to be your guy."  Jennifer, St Francis 50 Catamaran.
