Fluenta in September Latitude 38

Richard, the publisher, of Latitude 38 asked for comments on a recent loss of a sailboat on a reef in French Polynesia. My generic comments on navigation in the reefs of the South Pacific was published in the recent Latitude 38.

    We know too well about the depth of charted bommies in the Tuamotus! We hit one dead one that stopped the boat! Luckily no one was hurt, but reminded us to always have an eye on the lookout and not trust the charts!
