Passage to Kirabati - Equator Crossing (again), Currents, Squalls and an Airshow


After our lovely stay in Funafuti it was time again to head north towards Kiribati.  The longest leg of our trip north to the Marshall Islands but somehow we took the least pictures.

Liz wrote about the six day passage here and below are a few pictures:

Equator Crossing (again) - You can see the position in the data bars on the right.

Crazy currents - here the west setting current is 2.4 kts pretty much as predicted.


The SPCZ reformed south of us so it was a pretty squally trip initially

and lots of rain.  So glad for our new rain enclosure.

Some excitment when this guy sat in the hover with us for a few minutes waving.

and then recovered on the flight deck on top of the bridge.
